Opened in 1829 at Remer Street by the Wesleyan Methodists. Rebuilt at North Street, Coppenhall, in 1869. For a history of the development of Methodism in Church Coppenhall see E.J. Alcock 'The Story of a Great Achievement' (published to celebrate the Triple Jubilee in 1956).
